I’ve been having a lot of #FullCircle moments lately – it’s wonderful and it’s interesting … and I want to share some thoughts on it.
In 2017 I did one of my first video interviews. At the time, I was still figuring out SO MUCH of what my message is; how to be a coach with a social media presence (btw, that was never the original vision); and all of the internal and external shifts that take place when you start being more of who you are and doing what you love!
So in preparation for that talk, I was really surprised to see that my message at the time was about “self-acceptance.” Huh? Really? … Apparently so. I had to go with it, so I did.
Over the years, more and more of that message came out, but in different forms. I eventually developed a couple talks on knowing who you are; standing confidently in your power; saying ‘Yes” to you; let your light shine; and more – different titles and focus, same underlying message.
Ever since I was a kid I had a knowing of who I am, but only to a limited degree 👈 and it’s only now that I can say that. When I chose to step more fully into my aligned career, I knew I was on the right path, but so much I never anticipated got entangled in the journey; and at this point, I believe that IS part of the journey. Seeing what’s in the way and doing the work to disentangle and dismantle what’s clouding one’s pathway forward.
When you take the action to be who you are and do what you feel called to do, it’s not uncommon to then experience more and more of all that which was preventing you from being and doing so in the first place – which might then confuse you, hurt you, and for some – make you choose to go back and stop. Go back to where it felt safe, where you thought you had love, where you thought you were accepted … but that’s not the journey. The journey to the freedom and expansion you seek is the one where you choose to unapologetically be you. Be aligned with your highest and best self. It’s a spiritual journey.
What are all the things that could throw stones on your path?
- Overvaluing other people’s thoughts and beliefs above your own
- “Societal” expectations
- Prolonged grief
- Not processing your emotions
- Holding on to energy that isn’t yours
- Fear of the future
- Your own negative thoughts
- So much more … what else?
And if you stay on the journey … you eventually learn that those ☝ are the “false idols.” Your job is to go within, listen and be. Who are you?
If the so-called “foundation” you thought you had supporting you unexpectedly crumbles, your next step is to build yourself a new foundation that truly is built on solid ground. A foundation within you that no outside interference can rattle. … and maybe some of you never had that solid foundation to begin with, and so this message isn’t fully hitting home yet for those that don’t have any reference point of something solid that they were ever able to rely on … the message of self-acceptance is still for you too.
For many years I feel I have been able to see others so clearly – at least their potential, because we all have free will – but what an eye-opener it was as I gradually realized I couldn’t fully see myself.
As I let people and situations go that were bogging me down, creating prolonged sadness or frustration, bit-by-bit my life got lighter 💫 energetically and ✨light✨er.
How does this all relate to self-acceptance? Because when we allow other people, situations – anything – to interfere with how we see and feel about ourselves, it’s a form of self-denial. It’s you not recognizing that you come from universal love. It’s you rejecting that you are the light and therefore have the power to overcome all of that external stuff. It’s the attachment to needing some of those past things to remain unchanged that keeps us in cycles of defeat and not seeing clearly. Let it go. Let it transform. Fuel yourself with so much love and inner peace that you can trust in the goodness of what you can’t yet see as the new gets created.
Self-acceptance is knowing that even when you don’t see love around you, you continue to love yourself. What does that mean for you? You’ve got to figure it out. Who are you? Only you can determine that. But I can tell you that at the root of you is love. You have ALWAYS been worthy.
Self-acceptance is continuing to own and be who you are, even if outside energies try to convey that you are wrong for being you. When you’re listening to the light within, you’re always right.
So where’s the full circle-ness of this for me?
I’m now seeing how so many more people than I thought are also on a self-acceptance journey. I knew this, but I see it even more now. Whether you believe it or not, we are all so energetically sensitive to the negative and limiting beliefs that circulate from one person to another to another to another … that if you allow that to become your truth, you’ll have a greater chance of rejecting yourself and your fullest capacity to be who you are and fully own, love and respect yourself in this lifetime.
You make the conscious decision to courageously do something different and break the cycle. Get clear on what energy is yours and what’s not. Get clear on which thoughts you really choose to believe and which you do not. And take action to replace all of that “false” energy, with more of who YOU are. When you do this, you’ll begin to notice how much better you feel – and how powerful you are that you actually have the ability to stop the recirculation of that limiting energy for yourself and others. The more people who do this, the lighter and brighter the world gets for all of us – because THAT then becomes the energy that gets passed around between us all.
Are you carrying the weight of someone else in your life that doesn’t truly belong to you? Someone else’s beliefs, grief, perspective, limitations? You choosing you takes nothing away from another person. If it looks that way, that might just mean that other person also has the work of choosing to choose themselves or not. Are you going to allow another person’s self-rejection lead you to self-reject, as well? It’s a choice.
You can take back your power. It was there all along. You just have to claim it. 👈 That used to sound like some flighty concept to me, but not anymore.
As I’ve released certain energies, gotten clearer on who I am and better at deliberately choosing and aligning with Me, that’s being reflected back to me – and I’m grateful to those who’ve told me they can now see me. 🙏 Thank you.
There’s nothing you can’t do, and the expanded truth of who You are is amazing. I hope you will allow yourself to release whatever’s getting in the way of you being more of you. This is your life. Time is precious. And so are you. 💖
