Hakan Kjellstrom is the brain behind Life By Follis and a visionary founder. He launched the brand in 2020, thanks to his strong passion for Asia. He explored parts of India and Nepal which introduced him to the vibrant cultures and the everyday lives of local communities. This profound journey sparked a mission to create a positive impact. After returning to Sweden, he equipped with a degree in political science focused on South Asia, initially worked as a media salesman.

However, his desire to do something more fruitful led him back to Asia, where he attended various trade fairs across the region. It was during these adventures that he discovered his calling: importing high-quality tea to Sweden. Recognizing tea as a centuries-old craft steeped in tradition, he started with limited knowledge. Hakan ensured that Life By Follis remained a premium tea brand and an organic, sustainable brand ever since.
