Knott’s Berry Farm with Toddlers: Visiting During the Holidays

Knott’s Berry Farm with Toddlers: Visiting During the Holidays

Posted on August 9, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Knott’s Berry Farm with Toddlers: Visiting During the Holidays

We spent a magical day at Knott’s Berry Farm with our toddlers during the holiday season! It turned out to be one of the highlights of our Southern California trip. From festive lights to toddler-friendly rides and a charming Snoopy ice show, the park was full of fun surprises for little ones.

If you’re planning a visit to Knott’s Berry Farm with toddlers, especially during Christmas time, here’s everything we loved and tips for traveling with young kids.

Rides and Fun in Camp Snoopy

We started our day at Camp Snoopy, the perfect zone for toddlers and younger kids. My boys couldn’t get enough of the train ride, the hot air balloon ride, and the cars rides.

One of the biggest wins? The lines moved quickly, even during the busy holiday season, which makes a huge difference when you’re traveling with young kids.

They also loved the bumper cars and the Calico Railroad. They were so excited to board the train and even got pretend tickets from the conductor. The train ride features “train robbers” who boarded the train. My boys had so many questions afterward: “Why were there baddies on the train?” and “What were they doing in the olden days?”

Holiday Magic: Snoopy on Ice

Don’t miss Snoopy on Ice—it’s worth the walk across the park. I wasn’t sure if my kids would sit through the whole thing, but my four-year-old was completely amazed.

The show features professional skaters, festive music, and everyone’s favorite – Snoopy! I’m so glad we made it to the show. It was a fun holiday experience for everyone.

Tip: Arrive early to grab a good seat. The theater has stairs, so strollers and wagons aren’t allowed inside.

Dinner: A Taste of the Old West

We ate dinner at Ghost Town Grill, which gave us a nice break from the excitement. We arrived just before the dinner rush, which I highly recommend if you’re visiting with toddlers.

The kids enjoyed their chicken tenders, and I had a fresh salad. After a long, exciting day, it was nice to relax in a cozy, warm space.

Holiday Extras That Made it Special

Just outside the restaurant, we were surprised by nightly snowfall in Ghost Town! Starting at 5:30 p.m., it “snows” every hour, adding even more holiday magic to your visit.

From twinkling lights and festive decorations to carolers and photo ops with Snoopy, Knott’s Berry Farm during the holidays truly embraces the Christmas spirit.

Tips for Knott’s Berry Farm with Toddlers

  • Bring a stroller or wagon – We brought our wagon, and my toddler even had a nap in it mid-day. We decorated it with fairy lights so it was easy to spot after dark.
  • Pack snacks and water bottles – We made sandwiches for lunch (which we ate before we entered) and brought along our toddlers’ favorite snacks. It’s always a good idea to have food on hand when little ones get hungry or cranky.
  • Plan ahead for Snoopy on Ice – Give yourself plenty of time to get to the show. It fills up quickly, and you’ll want a good view.
  • Dress in layers – The weather cools down after sunset, so bring jackets and beanies for the whole family.
  • Take it slow – Don’t feel like you need to do everything in one trip. Leave room for rest breaks and snacks. Let your little ones decide which way to go for a toddler-led adventure.

Would We Go Back?

Absolutely! Knott’s Berry Farm is perfect for toddlers and young kids, and the holiday season makes it extra special. There are so many great photo spots, especially near the big Christmas tree and with Snoopy.

If you’re planning a California holiday with toddlers, Knott’s Berry Farm deserves a spot on your itinerary.
