The following are simple but amazing small local restaurants and eateries, handpicked and located in the Namaka and Martintar small suburb town areas along Queens Road (5 minutes drive from Nadi Intl. Airport).
Grace Road Kitchen
There are a few other restaurants just further down the road from the Nadi Intl Airport, but I would recommend Grace Road Kitchen for its iconic foods served and warm interior atmosphere. Their fired, cooked foods are from fresh produce. Their pizzas are fantastic, and their wraps are refreshing and healthy. Importantly, there are not many restaurants in Nadi that cater to Gluten-Free requirements except for Grace Road Kitchen.

This spot is a hidden gem on our local streets tucked away amongst the busy Namaka commercial business streets, you will need to make your way through a line of small business walkway to find its location and wallah this amazing opening to an amazing decorated interior and open restaurant is like a haven.
This restaurant specializes in many lunch and dinner cuisines, from Chinese to Indian to Australian barbeques and tasty pizzas. They have it all under one menu. Prices are very reasonable and affordable for anyone that is on a budget.

This is a Chinese restaurant that specializes in Chinese food. Its prices are reasonable and affordable. I fancy this restaurant from time to time, and it actually makes it to my top 5 Chinese restaurants in Fiji. You can expect friendly service and amazing Chinese wok-cooked delicious food. I recommend a seafood combination soup with wonton to kick off your starter before hitting the mains.

This is every local’s favorite fresh bread shop in the country when you need the freshest bread and buns, tasty meat pies, croissants, mud cakes, scones etc. Freshest bread in town.

LC’s Restaurant
For many Nadi locals, LC’s restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant for an amazing lunch or dinner feast or a light meal. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. The food menu is authentic, and fresh produce is used in all their meals. This restaurant is always busy.
It’s best to get in at 5:30 p.m. sharp while it’s still quiet. Service is quick, and the food is amazing.

This is an exquisite, authentic Indian restaurant that caters to authentic South/North Indian cuisine. It is a little restaurant with amazing food cooked and served. The staff is amazingly friendly. Please leave a tip. This is a must, in my opinion. It will take your breath away.

This iconic coffee hub brand, which has been around for 15 years, is locally owned and operated. It is loved by many locals in Nadi and is a favorite stop at any time of the day. It is a fantastic place to get good, refreshing coffee and pastries on the go and is a favorite spot amongst the locals. It is a kilometer up the road beside the Mobil service station and Grace Road Sunny Pizzas, which brings us to our next quick stop.

This is another iconic spot, a clean, small dinner for fast food and tasty pizza lovers. It is just beside the main Queens Road as well, which is very convenient, especially if you’re taking a taxi from Nadi airport. It is only a 10-minute drive to this point for a quick fix if you’re hungry. There are options for our local favorite, home-cooked Lasagna, and vegetarian wraps. The atmosphere is nice, cool and friendly.

This beloved local spot is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious offerings. You may also find Traveling Spoon caterers who provide these authentic culinary experiences. You would require advance booking to get the best out of these local caterers, which is always the best option for trying the best and tastiest indigenous foods cooked from the heart.
- Kokoda: Often referred to as Fijian ceviche, kokoda is made from raw fish marinated in coconut cream, lime, onions, and other local herbs and spices. It’s a refreshing and flavourful dish perfect for the tropical climate. You will love it, like we locals do.
- Lovo: A traditional Fijian feast where food is cooked in an earth oven. Meat, fish, and vegetables are wrapped in banana leaves and slow-cooked over hot stones. The result is tender, smoky, and incredibly delicious.
- Palusami: Similar to Rourou, Palusami is a dish made from taro leaves, coconut cream, and onions, often stuffed with lamb or fish meat or just as a plantain dish. From the abundance of root crops available in Fiji.
- Cassava (Manioc) and Dalo (Taro): These root vegetables are a common accompaniment to many Fijian meals. They are usually boiled or roasted and served with various stews and other local dishes.
- Palusami: Similar to Rourou, Palusami is a dish made from taro leaves, coconut cream, and onions, often stuffed with lamb or fish meat or just as plantain dish. From the abundance of root crops available in Fiji, Cassava (Manioc) and Dalo (Taro).
- Root crops are a common accompaniment to many Fijian meals. They are usually boiled or roasted and served with various stews and other local dishes.
- Ika Vakamiti: Fish in coconut cream which is a local delicacy which is cooked in every Fijian home on Sunday. The fresh fish is prepared but the meat is not filleted from the bones, this is boiled as a whole fish. Vegetables like charred eggplant, and boiled round cabbage is cooked separately and then put in a bowl, then adding the freshly squeezed coconut cream into the dish with the fish and vegetables, releasing a fantastic aroma of sweet smells. This is then dressed in chilies, lemon and salt if needed.
- Ika Vakalolo: This is fresh reef fish cooked together with vegetables and freshly squeezed coconut milk after preparation. Now, those are two amazing, delicious meals that are important and part of our culture. The fish head is always served to the eldest of the family. These dishes are eaten with cleaned fingers and accompanied by freshly squeezed kumquat lemon juice.
- Vakasakera is a seafood salad with greens that is a must in every household food preparation. It can be served as a main dish or an appetizer before the main meals. Seafood can combine small prawns, fresh crab meat, seashell meat, fish, baby octopus, etc., with bokchoi cabbage finely chopped. It is interesting and very tasty, and it goes well with white wine.
- Vakalolo: The varieties of local deserts are endless. The simplest and most common dessert after a heavy meal is sweet plantain with coconut syrup sprinkled with local spices. It is easy to make and can be eaten cold. You may also add your favorite ice cream for more intense flavours or even honey!
- The best local sweet drink is freshly squeezed Kumquat juice or Soursop fruit juice, which is flavourful and intense and very healthy indeed. Try to request fresh soursop juice, which is very healthy anyway. It is sweet and sour and has an explosive, undeniable flavor. This Soursop juice is a must-try!
