About Bora Bora
Bora Bora is perhaps the most known island of French Polynesia, worldwide. It is surrounded by a stunning lagoon and barrier reef.
It is a very popular tourist destination, with luxurious 5 star resorts with over the water private bungalows.
In the center of the island are two very prominent mountain peaks reaching a height of 2,400 feet. As we approached the island while on our cruise, its beauty was simply breathtaking.

Our Eco Shark and Ray, Coral Garden Snorkel Safari
We booked our tour on our own, with Moana Voyages prior to leaving home. We were definitely glad we did, as these tours book very fast.
If you snooze, you lose and you definitely don’t want to miss this one!
We received an email confirmation that our tour guide and boat would be at the ship’s tender dock at a specific time upon our arrival. Once others joining the tour arrived, we were on our way.
After arriving at the pier off our ships tender, we were met by one of our tour guides at the pier. Along with another couple, we were whisked in a small speed boat across the bay, to join others in the group and change boats.
We were then on our way to the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon. We made a quick stop along the way at one of the luxurious resorts this island is best known for, to pick up others joining us on this tour.
We then headed out just a few minutes towards the reef of this beautiful lagoon. The different shades of blue water in the lagoon was amazing to see!

“Up Close & Personal”
with amazingly friendly blacktip sharks and stingrays.
These awesome creatures are used to people, who pose no threat to them. As well, with your snorkeling gear, it’s a great opportunity to observe all the colorful tropical fish in the lagoon as well.
You’ve got plenty of time to swim and snorkel at your leisure, to enjoy the lagoon and the beautiful creatures of the deep.
If you love the water, swimming and snorkeling in amazing places, you will be hard pressed to find anything as beautiful as Bora Bora’s beautiful Lagoon.
Whether visiting the island itself and/or arriving for the day by cruise ship, then this tour is a great choice.
It’s just 2 to 3 hours in length, with a choice of morning or afternoon tours to choose from, allowing you to enjoy the rest of your day and time in Bora Bora.
