The session also introduces ‘Seed Up in a Box’, an initiative to distribute bulk, inexpensive, open-pollinated seeds. Julia Dakin is the co-founder of Going to Seed, an organization dedicated to promoting seed sovereignty and teaching growers how to adapt crops to local conditions and community preferences. Julia leads initiatives that empower local growers to build resilient, locally adapted food systems, enhancing community resilience and food diversity. 

 

Rebecca is the Co-Founder of Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library.  She created the “create a library” template that has helped thousands of seed libraries launch around the world. She is the founder of the SeedLibraryNetwork.org and created the Cool Beans! Seed Libraries Newsletter, an international publication supporting local seed projects.

 

Bevin is an award winning author, owner of Small House Farm and host of the popular Seeds & Weeds podcast. Bevin offers workshops and lectures across the country on the benefits of living closer to the land through seeds, herbs, and locally grown food. He is the prolific author of more than ten books, including The Artisan Herbalist and his latest, Herbs in Every Season.
