Our 6-Day Family Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Baku

We arrived in Baku via a direct flight from New Delhi. After a smooth airport transfer, we checked into the luxurious Badamdar Estate (Ex Pullman). With its family-friendly amenities and serene atmosphere, it was a perfect base for our stay.

Day 2: Exploring Modern Baku

We started with the iconic Heydar Aliyev Center, a masterpiece by Zaha Hadid. The futuristic design captivated our child, who enjoyed posing for photos outside. Post a delightful lunch, we explored Highland Park and admired panoramic views of the city. The Flame Towers glistened as we strolled along the scenic Baku Boulevard, ending our day with dinner at an Indian restaurant.

Day 3: Journey to the Land of Fire

We began the day at Ateshgah Fire Temple, a fascinating site reflecting Azerbaijan’s Zoroastrian heritage. The highlight was Yanardag (Fire Mountain), where natural flames dance on the hillside—a mesmerizing sight! Later, we toured Baku’s UNESCO-listed Old City, discovering the Maiden Tower and the Palace of Shirvanshahs. Walking through its narrow alleys was like stepping back in time.

Day 4: Shahdag Mountain Resort

Our family’s adventurous side came alive at the Shahdag Mountain Resort, a three-hour drive from Baku. Surrounded by the stunning Caucasus Mountains, we enjoyed activities like a scenic cable car ride. While winter offers skiing, summer activities like hiking and zip-lining keep visitors entertained. A hearty local lunch added to the charm before returning to Baku.

Day 5: Gobustan and Shopping

We visited the Gobustan National Reserve, home to ancient rock petroglyphs and mud volcanoes—a hit with our child! Later, we stopped at the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, a stunning architectural gem. Shopping in Baku was an absolute delight, with stops at local sweet shops, wine stores, and Genclik Mall, the largest mall in Baku.

Day 6: Leisure and Departure

Our final day was spent relaxing and shopping for souvenirs. We savored local dishes before heading to the airport for our late-night flight back home, cherishing the memories of our

Azerbaijani adventure.
