A Review Of Our Stay At The Alt Hotel

What I really liked about our stays with {Group Germain Hotels} on our travels across Canada, is that this is a unique and very successful 🍁 Canadian family-run business.
The Germain family owns and operates Le Germain Hotels, Alt and Alt+ Hotels across Canada. In fact, they are now ranked as one of Canada’s 50 Best Run Companies and Celebrating well over 30 years in business.
They are continually expanding their network of properties across the Nation, to this day.

Alt Hotel St. John’s – Location
This particular hotel is ideally located right downtown, in the {City of St. John’s} very popular waterfront.
The 🛳 cruise ship pier, popular restaurants and attractions are just steps away. For those arriving by 🛬 air as we did, we were at the hotel within minutes after picking up our rental car.
Note:
The hotel does provide underground parking for its guests at an additional charge. As this is a very popular area in the city, parking can be very difficult to find and limited.
Harbourview King Room
As soon as you enter the front doors of the Alt Hotel, you immediately realize you have stepped into something .. completely out of the ordinary from any other hotel.
There’s a stylish new relaxed casual feel to the lobby, complete with a pool table, lounge area and more.
We arrived well after midnight and were greeted and checked in by a friendly staff member. 24 service is available at the front desk at all times, for those checking in late or who may need assistance during their stay.
We were checked in quickly and booked into our 🛏 King Room with Harbor View.
Even though the room is smaller than most other hotel rooms we’ve stayed at, it is very well appointed, with all the modern conveniences you would expect in this class of hotel and more.
The rooms are decorated with a modern and unique flair of their own.
Complete with extra large floor to ceiling windows and a bath that has a special – spa looking feel!
The king bed and bedding was lush and extremely comfortable!
In room 📶 wi-fi was excellent along with a desk and chair with plugins, making this hotel perfect for pleasure and business travelers.
There’s complimentary in room ☕ coffee and tea as well. 🙂
This hotel was more than we expected and a wonderful way to start our 🍁 Cross Canada vacation.

Concluding My Review Of The Alt Hotel St. John’s
What’s really great with this hotel brand, is that they offer a flexible check out ⏰ time. This option really put the icing on the cake for our stay.
As we arrived in the wee hours of the morning, we didn’t have to check out by 11 am, as is the case with most other properties.
We informed the front desk attendant on our arrival and enjoyed a comfortable restful sleep, after our long journey from Vancouver. No pressure of having to get up at a specific time and rush to check out of our room. 😴
If you’re looking for an upscale and modern looking hotel in an ideal location in downtown St. John’s, this is the perfect place to stay.
Whether for pleasure or business travel, this hotel is a great choice!
