In a city synonymous with luxury, speed, and spectacle, few events have captured the spirit of modern Riviera glamour quite like SUNSET. What began humbly in 2013 as a private beachside gathering among close friends has evolved into one of the world’s most exclusive and talked-about celebrations. Timed with the legendary TAG Heuer Monaco Grand Prix, SUNSET is no longer simply a party. Now, it is a curated experience at the intersection of music, art, and elegance.
A Luxury Event
At the helm of this cultural phenomenon are Thomas Peeters and Cédric Houdrouge, two Monaco-based visionaries. Their names have become quietly synonymous with a new era of experiential luxury. Now entering its 12th edition, SUNSET draws over 7,000 guests across a three-day odyssey at the iconic Méridien Beach Plaza. indeed, set against the glistening Mediterranean and the roar of F1 engines, the event pulses with a curated blend of global beats, gastronomic finesse, and Riviera cool. This combination is a testament to the founders’ deep understanding of both rhythm and refinement.

No SUNSET experience is complete without a visit to Casa SUNSET, the festive Mexican restaurant and bar. It has fast become the ultimate pre-party haven. From noon until 3am, this vibrant fusion eatery offers a tantalizing mix of Latin-inspired cuisine, bold flavours, and inventive cocktails. The atmosphere is nothing short of electric. It is a place where sun-drenched afternoons melt effortlessly into glittering, music-filled nights.
Thomas, a seasoned event producer with a résumé that spans continents, brings an unerring eye for scale, logistics, and immersive storytelling. His counterpart, Cédric, whose sartorial flair and passion for music also set the tone for every gathering, infuses the event with warmth and edge in equal measure. Together, they have not only crafted SUNSET into a Monaco staple but have also left their mark on the international scene. As co-founders of MOGA Festival, Morocco’s premier electronic and world music gathering, they have created one of Africa’s largest cultural events.
“SUNSET was born from a desire to create something both elevated and welcoming; an atmosphere where boundaries blur and creativity thrives,” Thomas explains. “We wanted it to feel like the best party you’ve ever attended, but one that also leaves an imprint.”
Partying and Contemporary Art
This year’s edition introduces a new artistic dimension with the presence of Richard Orlinski, one of France’s most celebrated contemporary artists. Known for his striking sculptures that fuse primal instincts with pop aesthetics, Orlinski will indeed make a special appearance as SUNSET’s guest of honour.

His works, collected by the likes of Sharon Stone and Justin Bieber, have long blurred the line between high art and cultural commentary. His presence at SUNSET is not merely decorative. It is emblematic of the founders’ desire to elevate nightlife into a space of meaningful aesthetic dialogue.
Final Words
As whispers of international expansions grow louder, SUNSET continues to evolve, though always with Monaco at its heart. More than an event, SUNSET is a movement. It is a living canvas of Riviera sophistication, audacious imagination, and the enduring power of human connection.
