🌺 Camp In Ucluelet 🌺
The Town of Ucluelet, is a much smaller community then much busier and the more popular Tofino. It is very quiet and picturesque part of popular region on Vancouver Island.
Camp In Ucluelet Options
During our visit a few seasons ago, we stayed at a very small campground known as …
Wild Pacific Camp. Unfortunately and do to the ever increasing popularity and growth of Ucluelet, this lovely campground is now closed for residential housing.
We do however, still enjoying camping at the neighboring; Ucluelet Campground. A very nice full facility campground for campers of all sorts, including; ⛺ tents. It’s our pick when we camp in Ucluelet each season.
Its a temperate climate on the rugged west coast of the island, so there are few campgrounds open year round, especially for those who come to … 🌊 Storm Watch.
This campground, along with a few others are open year round. One my daughter and boyfriend enjoying camping at is Surf Junction, which have surfboard rentals as well.
Camp In Ucluelet Year Round
Many of the campgrounds in this region including the 🏞 National Park Campground, close for the winter season. For those of you who like to camp throughout the winter and especially those who would like to travel, to the rugged West Coast of Vancouver Island to 🌧 Storm Watch, then you’re in luck.
As mentioned, some campgrounds open year round, just for this. Believe me, our family have traveled to this part of the island to storm watch, and it is spectacular!

Located right in the Town of Ucluelet. There’s Spring Cove and Terrace Beach.

Wild Pacific Trail
Another bonus with staying in Ucluelet, is a hidden gem, known as the; 🥾 Wild Pacific Trail.
This is a spectacular 🥾 8 kilometer trail, follows along the coastline and passes by the still active; Amphitrite Lighthouse.
This is a nature trail like no other, where your hike takes you alongside the rugged coastline, and throughout the dense coastal old growth forest.
There are numerous 🔭 scenic lookouts and stops along the way with park benches to sit and enjoy the spectacular views!
There are colorful information boards describing some of the history of the area and the; natural growth and vegetation, as you make your way along the trail.
The Wild Pacific Trail and the Lighthouse Loop, are two attractions definitely not to be missed. The trail is ideal for hikers of all abilities.
🚶 Walk as little, or as much as you like. Access to part of the trail can also be made across the street from; Wild Pacific Camp.
