What priority is your relationship with God? Do you meet with him daily, once a week or on special occasions? One thing we all know for certain is relationships only grow when we invest in them.
In my book Worthy of a Miracle I wrote, “God doesn’t set an alarm clock. He doesn’t text you if you don’t return his call. Jesus waits. He waits patiently. I like to say he is a gentleman because he does not force himself on you.
A friend of mine once said she imagines Jesus waiting on her at the kitchen table when she wakes up in the morning. Some days she’s guilty of rushing through her morning and not even giving him a hello or a thank you for stopping by. Other days on her way to bed she’s reminded that he has been waiting for her all day, patiently hoping to be noticed.
One day she thought, What if that were my husband or children sitting there? Of course, I would talk with them. I would stop and give them a hug or kiss and tell them how much I love them. I would make sure I took time to connect with them. How much more does Jesus deserve that from me?
After that revelation, she began to schedule an appointment at 5:00 A.M. every morning to meet with Jesus.
Developing a persona relationship with Jesus takes intention, consistency, and a hunger to spend time alone with him.
Do you have a predetermined plan for building intimacy with God? If not, it’s time to stop procrastinating and start now.”
Pause here for just a moment dear reader and ask yourself, Am I procrastinating meeting with God? If your answer is yes, I want to encourage you to spend some time exploring why. I believe often times when we have resistance in a particular area that breakthrough is just around the corner.
Below are three suggestions I recommend incorporating into your daily life to grow intimately in your relationship with Jesus:
- Schedule a set time to meet with God privately, uninterrupted. If you have to start with just 5 minutes a day, start there!
- Read your bible. To really get to know God personally we must read the Word. Holy Spirit will speak directly to you and bring amazing revelation. If you don’t know where to begin reading the Bible, simply start with Matthew in the New Testament. Also, a great way to understand the Bible is through the ReadScripture App.
- Pray. Pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions. If you do not have your prayer language be sure to take my free Speaking In Tongues class! When we pray, we not only build ourselves up in the spirit, but we are co-laboring with the Lord. Ephesians 6:12 tells us “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Prayer changes everything.
After reading this post, what stood out to you? Is God inviting you to invest in your relationship with Him? What will you do to place Him at your highest priority? How will you remain accountability?

What clients are saying about working with Linda Kuhar(click here to read more)~
“Upon first speaking with Linda on our introductory call, I found her to be completely genuine, attentive, and focused on what I was concerned with and how she could best assist me in reaching my goals. Linda made me feel completely comfortable speaking about anything, which is something needed when trying to get to some of those root problems. Throughout my sessions with Linda, she would always check in on me, encouraging me with daily devotions, and also give me some assignments which she held me accountable. I was very thankful for her accountability, as discipline is not something I am the best at. I looked forward to my weekly sessions with Linda, as I could tell my work with her was helping me become stronger each week. Not only is Linda positive and encouraging, but she is honest, and encourages you to be honest with yourself and do some self-examination. I am truly thankful to Linda for taking the time to help me through some things, and I thank God for bringing her into my life, just when I needed it.” Sara W., VA
“Linda is amazing! She’s genuine, the real deal! In each call you can hear it in her voice how much she genuinely cares & has a deep desire to help. She’s positive & uplifting, encouraging & supportive. Linda will even be the first to tell you that it all comes from God & not her, that she is God’s vessel being used by him to bring his words to you.” Tricia D., IN
“I gained clarity about my talents and priorities, and was able to regain a sense of serenity, which is priceless! I am so grateful that Linda was able to walk with me through a challenging time with kindness, empathy and humor.” Cassie C., NJ
