Your hormones shift

Losing weight can have an effect on your hormones, especially if you’re changing your diet or your exercise habits quite significantly. This hormonal imbalances can lead to various side effects which include hair thinning. In women, weight loss can reduce oestrogen levels or affect testosterone levels in men. Both of these things can influence hair growth or hair loss.
